I am proud to make my first post here on Infinity’s End. With this blog I hope to share my experience with Mac OS Server, Macs and general educational technology. I will offer reviews of hardware and software focusing not just on its specifications and general use, but specifically how it can used to benefit the classroom learning experience.

I will also relay my experiences working with Mac OS Server within the educational environment. Unfortunately there is limited information available in regards to Apple’s server product, and what is available is geared towards those with substantial experience and knowledge. Schools however, with their limited resources are often unable to attract those with such experience and thus the technology staff is often self taught. I hope to provide a tangible resource for these System Administrators.

The district in which I work hopes to become a technological leader not just within its state of Illinois, but in the Nation and the world. As we work towards that goal, utilizing new technology, and new techniques I will relay the knowledge that I learn here.

Finally, I will strive to find sources and resources elsewhere on the internet that are relevant to education technology and link to them here providing a sort of aggregator of these stories. As always, I will try to relate the way these tools can help improve the educational environment.
